The Manatee Research Program studies many aspects of the biology of manatees living in southwest Florida waters, including population dynamics, population genetics, habitat use, dispersal patterns and social behavior. . Internships are possible during all four seasons and must last a MINIMUM of 12 weeks. Opening hours are usually Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. 5:00 pm to 5:00 pm, although longer days may be needed for field work.
